Aaron A.M. Ross (PhD)

Aaron A.M. Ross is an instructor at Summit Pacific College. He also serves as the Lead Pastor of Richmond Pentecostal Church. His recent research and writing focus on the intersections of Canadian history and Pentecostal identity. He is the author of The Holy Spirit and the Eagle Feather: The Struggle for Indigenous Pentecostalism in Canada (McGill-Queen’s University Press, 2023). His work is also frequently featured in Testimony and Enrich, as well as various other periodicals.

A settler Canadian historian of Christianity, Dr. Ross earned his PhD from the University of St. Michael’s College in the University of Toronto (Wycliffe College). He also holds an MDiv from Tyndale Seminary and a BA (Hons) from the University of Western Ontario. His academic background is complemented by years of pastoral ministry, having previously served at Stone Church and Heartland Church in Ontario, and as adjunct faculty at Master’s College and Seminary and Redeemer University.

Dr. Ross is an ordained minister with the PAOC and contributes to the denomination as a member of the Constitutional and Ministerial Credentialing subcommittees. He has also served as a delegate for the Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches of North America (PCCNA).
