YMIN 513 – Contemporary Communication

YMIN 514 – Adolescent Faith Formation and Development

YMIN 515 – Youth Ministry Administration

All the credits from this certificate program are transferable to the M. A. in Youth Ministry degree program at Summit.

Upon completion of this program the student shall be able to:

  • understand Christian worldview and communicate it to a variety of contemporary audiences and contexts.

  • practice consistent spiritual disciplines and articulate a strategy for youth workers to implement personal mentoring relationships for those they serve.

  • demonstrate effective leadership skills in developing youth programs based on a Biblical philosophy and sound administrative strategy of youth ministry.

  • nurture the practice of youth ministry in the power of the Spirit to equip disciples for Christ-like service in the church and local communities.

  • demonstrate the importance and role of institutional management systems, mission statement, planning, principles of governance, human resource issues, and financial matters as they influence youth ministry.


Online Options

Students may study on campus or opt to participate in the live class via video conference.

A student enrolls in the class like everyone else, engages with the learning material and assignments as others in the class, but is present in the class sessions via video conference.

An online student misses very little of the dynamics of the classroom experience.
