Pastors' Cohort: Starting Fall 2026

For Whom

The Pastors' Cohort is designed to serve Pastors and Global Workers who wish to pursue graduate (i.e., masters) studies at Summit’s School of Graduate Studies. Applicants may be serving in any pastoral roles such as lead pastor, associate pastor, assistant pastor, youth pastor, or executive pastor. The same principle is applied to Global Workers. A Global Worker may have a range of portfolios; the criterion is that an applicant is serving as a Global Worker with the PAOC.

The Program

The program leads to a Master of Arts in Theology and Spiritual Leadership degree, comprising 12 courses and a thesis. The entire program is 44 credits. The program offers some flexibility in content selection. Global Workers may have the opportunity to include mission-oriented course(s) in their course selection (e.g., Business as Mission and Social Entrepreneurship). The Dean of Graduate Studies will help tailor each student’s course selection.

Why Pastors’ Cohort?

The Pastors’ cohort is designed to enrich the learning experience of those in ministry as they share similar experiences, challenges, questions, and knowledge. Pastors and Global Workers will be able to share their experience in the classroom and outside of it. All students will benefit from such a rich classroom environment. In short, the Pastors’ cohort creates a competitive learning environment that ensures learning and the exchange of ideas not possible in isolated self-study programs.
